According to CoinMeta, He Tao, the person in charge of research and development for MiniMax Code, stated that MiniMax Code version 2.0 has been rebuilt from the ground up, with a focus on solving the issue of long tasks getting stuck, as well as updating the desktop version. The new version is based on the open-source framework Pi Agent and has restructured session management, status management, and tool calls, resulting in improved startup speed and stability. The new version also optimizes charts and file previewing; users can view charts in full screen, zoom in and out, and download them, and can directly modify files within the preview interface. In addition, the financial module has been integrated with Hang Seng Financial Database and Qichacha MCP, and this feature is now available for testing on the web version. MiniMax is planned to add remote control this month, and the CLI version is about to be launched.
