On August 4th, the 330,000-ton tanker "Yuanxi Lake" under China COSCO Shipping Group arrived off the coast of the port of Sidi Kiril on the Mediterranean coast of Egypt and queued up to wait to be loaded with oil. The ship entered the Red Sea on July 11th and had been lingering off the coast of the Saudi port of Yanbu since the Houthi rebels in Yemen announced a maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia. On August 1st, the "Yuanxi Lake" passed through the Suez Canal empty and its destination was indicated as the port of Sidi Kiril in Egypt.
