According to CoinMeta, Putin signed Russia's first comprehensive cryptocurrency law, allowing regulated transactions to begin on September 1st. Only the most liquid cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin ( BTC ), Ethereum ( ETH ), and Tether ( USDT ), will be approved for trading on licensed exchanges regulated by the Russian Central Bank. Cryptocurrency payments are still prohibited.
