CLARITY The bill failed to pass the procedural vote, and bilateral negotiations continue

According to CoinMeta, the CLARITY bill failed to obtain a procedural vote in the Senate because Senate Majority Leader John Thune (John Thune) submitted voting requests for other bills, and bilateral negotiations are still ongoing. Thune submitted a voting request on a bill to protect college sports on Wednesday, but did not make a corresponding submission for the CLARITY bill, which resulted in the Crypto Markets Structure Act losing the procedural countdown required for a preliminary vote. The passage of this bill requires the support of 60 senators, meaning that Republicans cannot advance the bill without Democratic votes. Nevertheless, Thune stated that the CLARITY bill has not been abandoned, and the delay is merely a matter of priority.
