According to CoinMeta, Dubai duty-free shops have announced their first support for SHIB (Chiba Inu Coin) payments. Customers can now use SHIB and 29 other cryptocurrencies to make purchases at physical stores in DXB and DWC airports, as well as on their official website. This marks a further development of SHIB within the UAE economy. The move is part of Dubai's D33 strategy, which aims to convert 90% of transactions to cashless digital forms. The payment gateway is provided by Crypto.com, ensuring that all transactions are conducted within the legal framework.
