According to CoinMeta, Lido DAO has initiated an automated repurchase mechanism on-chain voting for NEST. The voting period is from August 5th to 22:00 on August 8th (UTC +8). This NEST mechanism uses protocol revenues or liquidity controlled by the protocol to systematically repurchase LDO tokens on decentralized markets, linking the performance of the Lido protocol with the value of LDO tokens. The implementation of this mechanism revolves around the liquidity pair of LDO and WSTETH. Once the voting is successful, Lido will transition to an automated value distribution mode.
