Iran and Pakistan sign new partnership agreement, aiming for a $10 billion trade target

According to CoinMeta, Iran and Pakistan have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at expanding trade cooperation, reiterating the goal of increasing bilateral trade volume to $10 billion, and advancing the establishment of a free trade agreement. The memorandum was signed during the 10th meeting of the Pakistan-Iran Joint Trade Committee held in Islamabad on Wednesday. The agreement focuses on expanding commercial cooperation, particularly strengthening cooperation in border areas, developing maritime and shipping activities, eliminating trade barriers, establishing a joint free trade zone, promoting barter trade, and advancing the implementation of a free trade agreement between the two countries. At the time of signing the agreement, six key members of Pakistan's federal cabinet held a joint meeting with Attabak at the Iranian embassy in Islamabad to discuss how to elevate economic cooperation between Tehran and Islamabad to the highest level.
