According to CoinMeta, as reported by edaily, South Korea's Ministry of Strategy and Finance has finalized the "2026 Tax Reform Bill," which does not include a provision for deferring taxation on virtual assets. If passed by the National Assembly, starting next year, profits from virtual asset transactions exceeding 2.5 million Korean won will be taxed at a rate of 22%, with the first declaration required in May 2028.
