According to CoinMeta, international credit rating agency Moody’s has for the first time raised the credit rating of SK Hynix to the A-range, reflecting the company’s enhanced competitiveness in the artificial intelligence storage market, as well as improvements in its profitability and cash generation capabilities. The previous day, Moody’s had already upgraded the long-term issuer rating and senior unsecured bond rating of SK Hynix by one notch, from “baa1” to “a3”, with a stable rating outlook. Since SK Hynix was incorporated into the SK group in 2012, this is the first time the company has received an A-rated assessment from Moody’s. It is also the first of the three major international credit rating agencies to grant SK Hynix an A-rating. Currently, Standard & Poor’s (S&P) and Fitch both have a rating of “bbb+” for SK Hynix. Moody’s expects that over the next 12 to 18 months, SK Hynix will maintain its high profitability and cash generation capabilities, and its financial condition will further improve.
