According to CoinMeta, the Italian Central Bank conducted a test involving 200 stablecoin remittances across 10 remittance channels. The results showed that in most cases, the costs were lower than the global average. The study pointed out that the bottleneck was not in blockchain fees, but rather in the conversion of fiat currency and local payment systems. It also stated that if stablecoins could be used directly without the need to convert them back to fiat currency, their advantages would "significantly increase."
