According to CoinMeta, the Seoul police in South Korea announced on July 30 that they have arrested three suspects who are suspected of stealing 1.23 billion Korean won (about 9 million US dollars) from 71 investors of XRP. Investigators traced funds amounting to 27.3 billion Korean won through related wallets, indicating that the total loss may rise further. The fraudulent XRP platform disappeared after collecting investors' funds.
