According to CoinMeta, Apple CEO Tim Cook issued a strong warning during his last financial report conference call, stating that Apple's memory costs were akin to a "century-long flood," and indicated that Apple had already raised the prices of Mac and iPad. He predicted that memory costs would continue to rise in the current quarter. Cook pointed out that supply constraints would affect the sales of iPhone, Mac, and iPad in September. He mentioned that Apple has been paying higher memory costs over the past three quarters and expects to continue facing higher memory expenses in the fourth quarter. Cook called for more competition in the memory supply chain, emphasizing that the current DRAM market is mainly controlled by three suppliers.
