According to CoinMeta, the U.S. Embassy in Jordan issued a security warning on August 1st, stating that the security situation in the Middle East remains complex and could further escalate. The embassy advised U.S. citizens in the region to remain highly vigilant and to be prepared for possible flight cancellations, temporary closures of airspace, and disruptions to travel. At the same time, U.S. citizens outside the Middle East should reconsider any travel plans that involve going to or passing through the region. The embassy also recommended that U.S. citizens avoid U.S. military bases in Jordan, as well as "dangerous areas with substantial police deployment."
