According to CoinMeta, OpenAI has announced the completion of the largest financing round in Silicon Valley's history, with a total amount of $122 billion, and the post-investment valuation reaching $852 billion. This financing round not only exceeded the $11 billion committed by strategic investors announced in February of this year but also raised an additional $12 billion, of which $3 billion came from individual investors for the first time. Amazon has already completed its $50 billion investment in OpenAI and holds approximately 5% of the shares. The original agreement allowed Amazon to decide on early investment at its discretion, but the remaining investment was to become a mandatory obligation after OpenAI went public or reached certain technical milestones, with a deadline of no later than the end of 2028.
