According to CoinMeta, as reported by markets and media, the crypto trading platform Kraken has launched European-style cash-settled options, namely BTC and ETH, for professional and institutional clients in parts of Europe and regions outside the United States. In the initial phase, inquiry-based trading (RFQ) is being used, with plans to introduce a public order book later on. Kraken, the head of derivatives at the company, stated that the next step will be to expand the company's regulated crypto options business in Europe using the MiFID license. There are currently no plans to launch options in the US market; instead, the focus will continue to be on developing perpetual contracts.
