Meta commits to future expenditures approaching $700 billion, involving AI data centers and cloud computing

According to CoinMeta, Meta has disclosed in regulatory documents that the company has committed to nearly $700 billion in future expenditures through long-term and short-term agreements, mainly involving artificial intelligence data centers and cloud computing sectors. Meta holds irrevocable contract commitments amounting to $349.3 billion, primarily related to third-party cloud service agreements, servers, and network infrastructure. In addition, Meta has another $347 billion in lease commitments that have not yet begun, with an additional $68 billion added in July, with payments set to start in 2027 and 2028. These costs cover data centers, hosting facilities, and part of the network infrastructure.
