According to CoinMeta, Wu said that the U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that after Clarity Act was passed by the House of Representatives, both parties in the Senate have engaged in thousands of hours of negotiations. The Senate Banking Committee and the Agriculture Committee have advanced the relevant provisions, and the Republican version is now ready to be submitted to the entire Senate for a vote. He criticized some Democratic senators for hindering the progress of the bill due to political factors, and claimed that Clarity Act is not lacking in consumer protection and measures to combat illegal finance. Chapters two and three of the bill will substantially enhance the regulatory and compliance requirements for digital asset intermediaries, bringing them closer to the standards of traditional financial institutions. He also mentioned that the "Blockchain Regulation Certainty Act" merely affirms the Treasury Department's long-term policy that non-hosted developers are not required to register under the Bank Secrecy Act. Some law enforcement organizations that previously opposed the bill have now switched to supporting it. Bessent called on the Senate to vote on Clarity Act immediately.
