According to CoinMeta, in the early hours of July 31st local time, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office issued a statement via social media stating that, following instructions from Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Katz, the Israeli Defense Forces demolished underground passage facilities in the Fort Fort Ridge area of southern Lebanon on that day. The Israeli side claimed that these underground infrastructure were an important support for Hezbollah in Lebanon's previous plans to attack residential communities in northern Israel. The statement mentioned that the Israeli forces used approximately 700 tons of explosives in this operation, which was a response to Hezbollah's "outright violation of the ceasefire agreement" the previous day. The Israeli forces are still stationed within the "security zone" in southern Lebanon and will continue to remove related military facilities to prevent Hezbollah from restoring its military capabilities. The Israeli Defense Forces also issued a statement in the early hours of the 31st stating that the 36th Division of the Israeli Army, under the command of the Northern Command, destroyed multiple core underground passages in the Fort Fort Ridge area of southern Lebanon.
