According to CoinMeta, the fifth payment under FTX has enabled creditors to recover a total of nearly $10 billion. Eligible creditors are expected to receive their funds through BitGo, Kraken, or Payoneer within 1 to 3 working days. The latest payment has further increased the recovery for almost all major creditor categories, with multiple groups now receiving amounts that exceed their approved claims in full. The recovery trust also paid approximately $18 million to preferred shareholders, raising the total distribution to that group to around $95 million. Although many creditors have received more than 100% of their approved claims, the recovery is based on the dollar value of customer assets at the time of FTX's bankruptcy application in November 2022. With nearly $10 billion in distributions, the assets of FTX are steadily moving towards the final stages of liquidation. The recovery trust stated that future record dates and any additional remaining asset distributions will be announced through its official channels.
