According to CoinMeta, and as reported by The Hill, despite growing concerns within the Republican Party about the expansion of the war and its impact on energy prices, Senate Republicans still obstructed a resolution on Thursday that called for Trump to withdraw U.S. troops from hostilities with Iran. The Senate voted 49 to 50 to reject a resolution aimed at bringing a measure proposed by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to a full Senate vote, requesting Trump to cease hostilities against Iran without congressional approval. Thursday's vote was the 13th time the Senate has voted on motions related to the war powers resolution with Iran, with Senate Republicans having obstructed resolutions to stop the war 11 times prior to this.
