Google and Morgan Stanley join forces to invest $15 billion in building a AI data center

According to CoinMeta, banks are in talks to provide a $15 billion loan to the Google-backed Anthropic data center, which is located in Texas. A consortium led by Morgan Stanley will fund a 1.6 gigawatt campus in Hubbard and will be equipped with its own natural gas power plant to train AI models on Google's chips. Google will provide billions of dollars in guarantees for the leasing and power obligations of Anthropic in exchange for approximately 20% of equity in the project.
