According to CoinMeta, Fortitude announced a deal with Bitmain to purchase 9,000 Antminer Z15 Pro ASIC mining machines, which is expected to increase the Equihash hashing power by about 7.56 Gsol /s. This is the largest public investment in Zcash mining infrastructure this year, and the delivery is scheduled to be made in two batches in October and November. Fortitude stated that this expansion investment amounts to approximately 31.5 million US dollars, with each mining machine costing 3,499 dollars. In the first half of 2026, Fortitude mined 72,696 ZEC, accounting for about 28% of the total network output.
