Analyst: Ethereum price hovering below $2,000, facing resistance to break through

According to CoinMeta, the price of Ethereum hovered around $1,920 on July 30, failing to break through the resistance level of $2,000. Tightening US monetary policy, delays in crypto legislation, and market panic have limited demand. Ethereum has been consolidating below $2,000 in the past few days, although it briefly touched the $1,970-$1,980 range earlier on. The daily chart shows that there is direct resistance around $1,938, a level that served as support in February and March. Ethereum's Relative Strength Index (RSI) is close to 58, remaining in a neutral area but still below overbought levels. Ethereum's MACD indicator is still positive, although its line is converging, and the histogram has slightly slipped below zero. These signals indicate that the market is consolidating rather than confirming a bearish reversal. The failure of Ethereum to break through is related to the Federal Reserve's decision to maintain the benchmark interest rate at 3.5%-3.75%, which does not provide investors with a reason to increase their exposure to high-risk assets.
