According to CoinMeta, the Bank of England stated that the impact of its plan to reduce its balance sheet on borrowing costs in the UK is slightly higher than previously estimated. According to the monetary policy report released on Thursday, affected by quantitative tightening, the yield on UK 10-year government bonds rose by 0.2 to 0.3 percentage points, which is higher than the previously estimated range of 0.15 to 0.25 percentage points. The Bank of England will determine the pace of balance sheet reduction for the coming year in September, including the scale of active bond sales. Pooja Kumra, a strategist at TD Securities, said that this indicates that the Bank of England recognizes more fully the impact of quantitative tightening on interest rates, and it also confirms market expectations that the pace of quantitative tightening will further slow down.
