According to CoinMeta, as reported by security firm Blockaid, the first half of 2026 was the most active period for online security threats, with a total of 212 high-profile attacks confirmed, resulting in a theft of $1.1 billion, which is 3.4 times more than in 2025. Among these, attacks by North Korean hackers led to the theft of approximately $600 million in funds.
