According to CoinMeta, Meta released its financial report for the second quarter of 2026, with revenue reaching $60.8 billion, a year-on-year increase of 28%, setting a new record for a single quarter and exceeding market expectations. Net profit was $15.8 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 14%. Earnings per share fell short of expectations, and the stock price tumbled nearly 10% after the market closed. Advertising revenue reached $59.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 27%. Quarterly costs increased by 55% to $42 billion, and free cash flow plummeted by 91%, remaining at only $784 million. Meta raised its annual capital expenditure forecast to between $130 billion and $145 billion, with third-quarter revenue guidance set at $61 billion to $64 billion, which is below market expectations. After the release of the financial report, Meta's stock price fell by about 10% after the market closed.
