According to CoinMeta, Rob Nichols, president of the Bankers Association of America ( ABA ), stated that banks wish to make two modifications to the 600-page Clearing House Act in order to prevent stablecoins from replacing bank deposits. He pointed out, "There is a reason why they refer to them as payment stablecoins and not deposit stablecoins."
