According to CoinMeta, during a meeting on July 29th, the Federal Reserve decided to maintain its interest rates unchanged. Chairman Kevin Warsh emphasized that future policy directions would be determined by economic conditions, inflation, and the bond market, rather than forward-looking guidance. This shift in philosophy has introduced uncertainty into the market, leading to a significant increase in Treasury yields: the yield on 10-year Treasuries rose by 8.1 basis points to 4.685%, and the yield on 30-year Treasuries increased by nearly 12 basis points to 5.211%. The stock market was also affected, with the Nasdaq 100 index and the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling by 2.06% and 2.19%, respectively. Meanwhile, crude oil prices rose by $5.30 to $84.63 due to geopolitical concerns, and gold prices increased by nearly 1%, indicating continued demand for safe-haven assets. Bitcoin, on the other hand, fell by 0.5%.
