According to CoinMeta, on July 29th, the Federal Reserve announced that it would maintain the federal funds rate at 3.50%-3.75% unchanged, with three officials supporting a 25-basis-point interest rate hike. This is the first time since September 2016 that three officials have held different opinions in the same direction. The Fed's 9-3 voting result increased the probability of a rate hike in September to 62%. Following the Fed's announcement, Bitcoin rose by 1.25%, briefly approaching $64,400. The Fed's statement reiterated its focus on "price stability," although inflation remains a concern due to tariffs and rising energy prices.
