Pi Network Mainnet Upgrade Deadline: Missing August 11th Will Result in Loss of Network Connection
2026-07-30 03:07:16
According to CoinMeta, Pi Network has announced that the deadline for the mainnet upgrade of its Protocol 26 is August 11th, which is the second-to-last scheduled update before the completion of the current development phase of Protocol 27. Node operators who miss this deadline will lose their mainnet connection until the upgrade is completed. In June 2026, Pi Network launched three products on Pi2day, but they received limited attention outside of its community. The launch of these products signifies that its ambitions extend beyond standard cryptocurrency networks. Piverify charges external companies to verify user identities and has processed over 18 million verifications. Solohost allows developers to run applications on the existing computer network of node operators under Pi. Pi Sign - in enable third-party websites and applications to offer Pi accounts as a login option. All three products require a stable mainnet protocol to operate on a meaningful scale.
