According to CoinMeta, on July 27th, there was a divergence in the US crypto market. Bitcoin funds experienced a loss of $11.64 million, while Ethereum products saw an inflow of $9.23 million, highlighting the differences in daily demand for these two digital assets. Bitcoin traded under pressure before the Federal Reserve's interest rate decisions, and lower exchange balances indicated that holders were continuing to reduce their holdings, despite a weakening demand from institutions. The SEC approved spot Bitcoin products in January 2024 and changed the trading rules for spot Ethereum products in May. According to data from Sosovalue, US spot Bitcoin funds recorded a net outflow of $11.64 million, with Blackstone's iShares Bitcoin trust (IBIT) suffering a loss of $8.82 million. In contrast, Blackstone's iShares Ethereum trust (ETHA) gained $11.75 million, which offset the outflows from other funds. These figures suggest that the capital flows represent routine turnover rather than a widespread withdrawal from digital asset funds.
