An interesting divergence has emerged between the Federal Reserve and other central banks

According to CoinMeta, as reported by ZeroHedge, Brent crude oil futures fell nearly 5% yesterday following the extension of the US suspension of sanctions against Iran. Trump stated that the suspension was to give diplomacy another chance and mentioned that the US and Iran are engaged in "very in-depth negotiations," but he expressed limited patience for progress. Brent crude oil opened higher than 3% this morning, following the night-time increase in prices WTI, after Iran launched missile attacks on US bases in Jordan, which were the first such attacks since the suspension. Meanwhile, market attention will shift to the Federal Reserve's FOMC meeting, which is expected to determine an appropriate level for federal funds rates. The market's expectation for a rate hike at this meeting is slightly above 8 basis points, with the September meeting already fully priced in at a 25 basis point hike. Nevertheless, the market generally does not expect the Federal Reserve to raise rates at this meeting.
