According to CoinMeta, Wu said that Circle, the Senior Director of Strategy and Policy at the EU, stated in a post that there are currently 21 issuing institutions in the EU that have launched about 35 types of regulated digital currency tokens. However, among the top 50 stablecoins by global market value, only USDC, USDG, and EURC meet the requirements. He believes that subsequent evaluations under MiCA should enhance institutional competitiveness and strengthen global regulatory coordination. This should not only support local EU-issued digital currency tokens in expanding cross-border payments and tokenized trade but also establish an accreditation mechanism for stablecoins regulated outside of the EU, allowing more global stablecoin activities to fall under the regulatory scope of MiCA.
