According to CoinMeta, Moon’s Dark Side ( Kimi ) has seen its valuation increase by more than 10 times over a period of just over half a year, completing a Series F financing round with over $3.5 billion in funds, which raised its post-investment valuation to $35 billion. This financing round was initially planned to raise up to $2 billion, but both the final amount and valuation exceeded targets. The company has now launched a Series Pre-IPO round, with a pre-investment valuation of $50 billion. At the end of December last year, Moon’s Dark Side completed a $500 million financing round, resulting in a post-investment valuation of $4.3 billion. If the next round is successfully completed, the company’s valuation is expected to reach 11.6 times that figure. Since the release of K2.5, Moon’s Dark Side has almost always launched or completed a financing round immediately after releasing each new model, with model upgrades becoming a direct bargaining chip for investors to re-price the company.
