A Jump Capital announcement revealed that the venture capital firm, affiliated with Jump Trading, has completed fundraising for its seventh fund, with total committed capital reaching $350 million. This is the company's largest fund to date, and it will subsequently allocate more resources to crypto and blockchain-related startups.

The seventh fund has completed its fundraising.

According to an announcement released on July 29, the new fund will cover areas such as blockchain infrastructure, DeFi, Web3, fintech, and enterprise software. Jump Capital stated that while continuing to invest in early-stage technology companies, it will increase its funding and team investment in blockchain and digital asset companies.

The company stated that since its inception, its venture capital business has completed over 100 investments and nearly 30 exits. With the launch of this new fund, the proportion of its cryptocurrency business in its overall investment portfolio will continue to rise.

Encryption configuration continues to expand

Founded in 2012, Jump Capital initially focused on providing Series A and B funding to software and technology startups in regions with limited traditional venture capital coverage in the United States. The company states that with the tightening of the primary market financing environment in recent years, blockchain has gradually become a key area of its investment strategy.

The announcement revealed that Jump Capital began investing in crypto approximately seven years ago, assembling a dedicated team led by Saurabh Sharma and Peter Johnson. The company stated that its experience in distributed systems, computing infrastructure, fintech, and capital markets underpins its decision to further invest in the digital asset sector.

Deployment covers RWA and infrastructure

Jump Capital stated that its crypto portfolio covers multiple areas including fiat currency deposit and withdrawal trading platforms, lending and credit platforms, compliant software, asset management platforms, DeFi, gaming, Web3 infrastructure, and blockchain networks.

  • In May 2025, Jump Crypto invested in Securitize.
  • In June 2025, Shelby was launched in partnership with Aptos Labs.
  • In September 2025, participated in KGeN's $13.5 million funding round.

Securitize stated at the time that the partnership would expand institutional access to assets such as tokenized U.S. Treasury bonds, private credit, and private equity. Shelby, on the other hand, is positioned as a decentralized hot storage network for Web3 applications, emphasizing fast data access in multi-chain environments.

Continue to invest in early-stage technology companies

In addition to its crypto business, Jump Capital also disclosed that its past investments and exits cover areas such as fintech, software, and data infrastructure. The company stated that after the new fund is raised, it will continue to support early-stage tech startups, but will allocate more capital to digital asset-related areas such as blockchain infrastructure, decentralized finance, crypto networks, and gaming.

Additional information:Of the two representative investments mentioned in the article, Securitize corresponds to the institutional tokenized asset market, and Shelby corresponds to Web3 storage infrastructure, showing that its investment direction has expanded from a single crypto project to a more complete industry chain.
